"Grecian De-LIGHT" Art Exhibit

Many legendary European artists chose Greece as the inspiration for their artwork.
Marc Chagall painted his most famous series "Daphnis and Chloe" inspired by the light in Greece. Pablo Picasso's most sought after "Vollard Suite" focusses on the Minotaur and depicts the neo-classic style of Greek sculptures. Greek art lover Teriade (Efstratios Eleftheriades) was one of the most influential publishers in Paris during the 1930's when many of the great artists were just getting started. Without him, many of the great works of art of the 20th century might be unknown.
