Download the 2009 Greek Day Program New for 2009Without reinventing ourselves, we understand that to continue to attract and grow our audience, Greek Heritage Month and Greek Day must come—up with new and improved ideas to make the event worth attending. Apart from continuously fine-tuning the calibre of musical and dance acts performing on our 2 stages, creating recipes that are more health-conscious and easily reproduced at home in our cooking demonstration tent and providing gripping activities for Children in our Kid’s Zone, organizers have continued to develop new activities at Greek Day to satisfy the continuous thirst for captivating interactive activities that continue to showcase many aspects of Greek culture in a positive and interesting way. Some of these activities will include a new Immigrant’s tent with video and storytelling, a loukoumades eating competition, a faces of Greek Day live photo contest to name a few new additions.Event OverviewThe Canadian Hellenic Congress of BC, with support from the Kitsilano Chamber of Commerce and West Broadway Business Association are pleased to announce that June 2009 is officially named the Greek Heritage Month in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia. The event, which has enjoyed tremendous success since 2005, will include a number of exciting cultural activities scheduled at various venues in Vancouver.
